JR Freiburger II

J.R. Freiburger always knew he wanted to start his own company. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, his fascination with building began early. Summers spent framing homes during high school and running a deck-building business in college laid the foundation for his future career. After several years as an engineer in Chicago, J.R.’s passion for hands-on work led him back to construction. He honed his skills in contracting before establishing his own company in 1999.

J.R.’s leadership at JRF is marked by a collaborative environment where employees have direct access to ownership and the tools they need to succeed. This supportive atmosphere has allowed many to thrive and build lasting careers which is one of J.R.’s favorite parts of the job.

Outside of work, J.R.’s love for the outdoors keeps him busy with hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Never without a new project, J.R.’s most recent endeavor has taken him into the world of beekeeping.
